Niclas "Nikke" Aromaa (1973)
Niclas was born to a family who owned a riding school in Pori. He could ride before he could walk or talk. He spent his hole childhood and youth around horses, learning horsemanship, riding and competing. At the age of sixteen Niclas decided he wanted to work with horses: He left to Germany to work for his "master" Yrjö Suomus. He worked in Germany as a horse breader and trainer. From Germany Niclas went to Sweden to be a trainee at Flyinge National Stud. Both Kyra Kyrklund and Peter Erikson were his tutors and trainers. Niclas started his professional career in Germany as a horse trainer in 1997. In 2002 he founded together with his partner their own company. Niclas has several placings in the German National high level Show Jumping competitions. He has been representing Finland in both World Cup and Nations Cup competitions. In 2007 he was placed in Young Horses World Championship competition.
2013 he was elected to represent Finland in the European Championships in show jumping and was placed fifth in Sopot Grand Prix.
All of the most successfull horses that Niclas has or have had, are trained by himself from young horses to excellent show jumping horses. He has a great talent and a long experience to train both horses and riders.
